The most important thing you taught me in five years of music classes as a parent is how to recognize and appreciate my children's different ways of participating and showing their love of music.  My oldest participates, but is overall one to sit in class and "take it in".  She has always loved it when I sing to her and singing has been the way I have most easily calmed her since she was a newborn.  My youngest is more of a performer.  He likes to walk around the house with maracas, dancing and singing his own songs.  While he will let me sing to him some, he really likes to sing to us more!!  My recognition of this has helped me respect their individuality.

"I know you see this in Logan, but he just absolutely loves music. I sincerely believe Music Together® has been the single most meaningful and important activity he has participated in over the last 18 months. When he sat on Santa's lap, he told him he wanted a cello, or a guitar for Christmas this year! Let me tell you that finding a cello for a 2 year old is no easy task!

Thank you for all you do to foster the love of music in our children- we appreciate it so much!

I want to thank you for introducing our family to music in this way. It has given me the courage to sing to my children without judgement. You have no idea what a wonderful gift that is (well...maybe you do.)"

"Erin wants to listen to "her music" ALL the time! She does the finger movements to "Jack in the Box" and asks for specific songs. She never said "Hello" before, but the other day she said that as a request to hear "Hello Everybody." She also sings the tonal patterns (with her own little twist, of course!) and I catch her singing to herself on a regular basis. Music Together has been monumental for her! She is loving every minute of it and branching out so much because we have been attending. We love it!"

"I just wanted to let you know how much we thoroughly enjoyed class this past semester.  As a former Developmental Interventionist, I know what the research says about music and its benefits for learning and development.  As a new mom I was able to see the positive effects the class had on Cate socially and developmentally.  Thank you for helping me provide such a fun way for my daughter to grow and learn.  I treasure the memories we made in the class and wish you all the best!"

"I enjoy the rhythm of the class - a great mix of slow and fast tempos, and sitting and standing/dancing. I truly like the openness of class that allows each child to express himself and participate in various ways and at various levels. We have so enjoyed your magic! Thank you for presenting this!"

"We love the class! I've always been shy about participating in groups or singing out loud anywhere since I became an adult. I grew up playing piano and singing in church choir, so it's been nice to come back to music in such a warm environment. I've definitely gained as much as my daughter from your classes - thanks!"

"As I was reflecting on the fact that our family is now just one semester shy of having experienced all nine of the Music Together collections, something occured to me.  For me, one of the greatest gifts of Music Together has been learning so many new (to me) traditional children's or folk songs from other countries and cultures, especially the lullabies.  I've absolutely loved expanding my repetoire of songs to sing to/with my children, and the fact that the girls are absorbing and learning these same songs.  It almost makes me cry to think that the "new songs" are about to come to an end for us."

"You are an excellent teacher. You put so much of yourself and your enthusiasm into it. You've helped me learn about Norah musically, and you've provided me with great ways I can implement more music into our lives."

"You do a fantastic job! You keep the flow going from one activity to another, and the myriad of different activities holds the interest of a dozen kids for three-quarters of an hour. We love this class! We have a great time learning, getting exercise, interacting, singing, dancing, smiling, laughing, and making music! We look forward to it every week!!"

"I just wanted to let you know how much Wyatt, Brody and I enjoyed our first Music Together class yesterday! Wyatt sang the songs all the way home and we have already listened to the CD at least 4 times. Today we made our own instruments at home and "jammed" out to the songs. What a treat it will be to attend our class every Monday! Thank you for offering this amazing program to families - I am so happy we are taking advantage of this opportunity!"

I was telling my in-laws all about Heartland Music Together this weekend, and I got caught calling them "my classes" instead of "my kids' classes!" My 2.5 year old and 7 month old thrive in class, but I have to admit that I probably benefit as much or more than they do! I have used the songs in so many different settings...to ease tension or tantrums, to transition or clean up, to bond and liven up car rides, nap and bedtime routines. My son regularly talks about his teachers and prays for them at bedtime every night! It just goes to show how this program becomes your extended family Worth every cent in my opinion.

I have attended Music Together classes with my boys since they were babies & we absolutely LOVE them! The quality of music & play, combined with the freedom of exploration cannot be beat for moms of little ones! Just in the past week I have noticed my youngest son (17 months) patting his legs & saying “ba-ba-ba-ba” like the rhythm patterns we do in class! And whenever I join in with him, his face just completely lights up.

I am so thankful to be apart of this community. We have enjoyed the dancing and music, but love even more the friends we have made. The classes are always enjoyable for kids and adults - my boys always leave in a better mood after singing and dancing with their friends.

Heartland is a great program. I am a horrible singer, but my son is not and we both just float through our Saturday morning class.....it's the best time of our week . And we have an absolutely blast with our CDs in the car.

We have been going to classes for over a year now and I can't tell you how much our son loves our weekly music class. Our teacher understands the needs of children and allows them to participate in the way that suits them best. Our music time is an hour each week that my son and I can bond and spend quality time together while learning new songs and enjoying the company of other families. We look forward to continuing our music journey with Heartland!
