Rebecca Reed Memorial Scholarship

In memory of Rebecca Susan Reed, 1950-2009

Rebecca Reed loved family, country music, and animals. She knew all the words to songs by Kenny Rogers and Crystal Gayle, and as her family puts it, she loved to sing nursery rhymes "like she was her own best entertainment." What better way to honor her than with a scholarship for Music Together® classes!

Who is eligible:

This scholarship is intended for children with a diagnosis of Down Syndrome  from infancy through age 8. One scholarship will be awarded for every 10-week session (six weeks in summer). Priority will be given to families who have not previously enrolled in Heartland Music Together, although we'll award it to returning families if a spot is available.

What the scholarship offers:

The recipient may attend any of our classes at any of our locations free of charge for a complete 10-week session (six weeks in summer). The scholarship includes all fees and all family materials for a complete tuition-free experience. Parents, grandparents, and or caregivers are invited to attend along with the enrolled child. We also welcome therapy specialists into our classes when appropriate.
